ELCA is the Coordinator of the European project “Culture Lights”, co-financed by the EU ERASMUS+ Programme.
Cultural buildings and human behaviour are linked to environmental issues such as climate change and energy supply. Surpassing the fear of people working in/using cultural buildings linked to the preservation of their value and history is a key element for the work of construction professionals and the overall impact of the Renovation wave and the European Climate change strategies.
This approach constitutes a tool for sustainable refurbishment, guaranteeing cultural heritage conservation and preventive protection, and recovery of the historical, architectural value. It aims to test innovative practices such as artificial and natural lighting systems within an adaptive re-use of the built environment for both construction and lighting professionals as well as cultural building users, shaping them as agents of change and enabling behavioral changes for sustainable lifestyles.
Culture Lights aims to develop flexible, learner-centred VET programmes for both Blue-collar and White-collar building professionals, within the European Renovation wave, destined for the preservation and sustainability of cultural buildings, adjusting also the needs of their users and conserving their value.

Both courses will be organized across the three partner countries: Italy, Greece, and Poland, and will be conducted in native languages by specialized tutors. All courses are provided free of charge to participants.
Participants who attend all sessions and pass the evaluation quizzes will receive a certificate of participation upon completing the training.
